Starting from Jack Harlow to Lizzo, every star from Lizzo to, stars give airs to the best fashion statement, from cutting edge to casual and something more than that. On Sunday, June 26, Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles welcomed the stars for the BET Awards 2022.
These awards are meant to celebrate the honour of black excellence across film, movie, sport, and fashion. With their best outfits, the celebrities hit the red carpet accompanied by stunning glam. The show was hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson who was Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning for the second year in a row.
When it comes to the best dresses in the BET Awards 2022 ceremony, the name of Lizzo was added to the top list that appeared in a stunning Gucci gown having the special trims. In the meantime, Summer Walker made her first public look after the announcement of the pregnancy, embracing motherhood with her appearance by Laurel Street.
‘Coi Leray’ wore an oversized denim blazer over a crisp white button-down shirt. The top featured wide cuffs, which were complemented with slouchy grey knit sleeves. Leray continued to layer ensemble with a tiny white bralette and a denim mini skirt.
Chlöe Bailey stunned in a sequin gown while Janelle Monáe walks in a sheer dress. More, a standout at the awards show comprises Victoria Monet, Billy Porter, and Marsai Martin, who is the winner of the won the Youngstars Award.
The BET Her award is won by ‘Mary J. Blige who delivered an emotional speech on self-love while accepting her statuette. “Big Energy” rapper Latto won the coveted best new artist award and also brought out Mariah Carey while carrying out the remix of her hit song.
The award for best female R&B/pop artist is won by ‘Jazmine Sullivan’ and the award for the best male R&B/pop artist goes to ‘Weeknd’
The award of the best album of the year is won by Bruno Mars and Anderson for their debut studio album, “An Evening with Silk Sonic.”
The special tribute was given to the rapper Biz Markie, fashion journalist André Leon Talley, singer Traci Braxton, former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, Oscar-winning actor Sidney Poitier, “The Wire” actor Michael K. Williams and fashion designer Virgil Abloh.
