Gomez has also pursued a successful music career, releasing multiple albums and hit singles such as “Come & Get It,” “Good for You,” and “Lose You to Love Me.” She has won several awards throughout her career, including an American Music Award, a Billboard Women in Music award, and an iHeartRadio Music Award.
In her recent interview, she shared some teasers about her upcoming project. Though the pop star shared a very little detail about that project. The teaser, however, is likely providing a sigh of relief to her immense fans who have been expecting new music from her for a very long time. Selena Gomez has not released a studio album since “Rare” arrived three years back in January 2020.
Gomez said of her untitled project, “The music I’m doing right now is about real things that I’m walking through. It is powerful, strong, very pop,”
“The theme generally is freedom—freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness.”
The Rare Beauty founder explained that she wants to make upbeat tracks for her fans to love. She would like to prefer making a unique type of music instead. “If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile,” Gomez shared elsewhere in the interview.
