If you’re one of the families still putting things back together after June’s earthquakes, there’s a payment worth checking for. The government kicked off this month’s Contingency Bonus on September 10, and it’s landing at Bs. 249,000 per household.
So when did money actually start moving?
Thursday, September 10, 2026. That’s the date Canal Patria Digital basically the official mouthpiece for anything Patria-related confirmed on its channels. If you’re eligible, you’ll know because a text lands from the short code 3532, or you’ll get a ping inside the veMonedero app once your account’s been credited. No login-and-refresh guessing games required, at least in theory.
The number: Bs. 249,000
At the exchange rate the Central Bank of Venezuela was quoting around the payment date, that works out to somewhere in the neighborhood of $300 reports put it anywhere between $299 and $301, which comes down to which day’s rate a given outlet used for the math, not any real discrepancy in the bolívar amount itself.
Worth flagging: earlier in September, before the official number came out, some outlets were floating figures like Bs. 186,000 or Bs. 223,500 as rough estimates. Ignore those now Bs. 249,000 is what’s actually going out.
Who’s actually getting this
This isn’t one of the broad Patria bonuses that hits every registered user. It’s narrower than that. To qualify, you generally need to fall into one of these buckets:
- Your household has been flagged as economically vulnerable
- You were affected by the earthquakes that hit on June 24, 2026 the ones that rattled several states
This is emergency relief, not a routine subsidy. Acting President Delcy Rodríguez has said the program is expected to run for six months from when it started, aimed at people who lost housing, work, or both after the quakes.
What to actually do if you think you qualify
- Don’t go hunting wait for the alert. The 3532 text or veMonedero notification is how you’ll find out you’ve been paid.
- Check your Monedero balance. Once notified, log into the Patria platform (web or app) and the funds should be sitting there.
- Spend it or move it. You can use the balance through Patria-affiliated services directly, or transfer it out to a linked bank account.
Why this keeps coming up in the news
Because the amounts shift. Patria-administered bonuses like this one get adjusted periodically based on the broader economic picture and on what a given household looks like, so don’t assume September’s Bs. 249,000 carries straight into October unchanged it might, it might not.
If you’re expecting this and haven’t heard anything yet, that’s not necessarily a red flag. Payment schedules for this particular bonus have been rolling out unevenly across the beneficiary list, so it’s worth just checking back on Patria every so often rather than assuming you’ve been skipped.
